If you’ve been wanting to use Power Apps premium licensing across your organisation, but didn’t think that the per app or per user plans were suitable, Microsoft’s a new licensing option of pay-as-you-go may be the answer for you. PAYG licensing was announced at MS Ignite earlier in November.

PAYG licensing allows you to link your Power Apps environments to an Azure subscription. So as you use your apps and Dataverse, usage above your included amounts will be billed against the Azure subscription. Your app can be shared with any user in your organisation, and you will only pay for the usage and additional storage as needed.
Ultimately, PAYG is a flexible option. It is ideal if you have an app that needs to be shared with a large number of users who will not be using the app frequently. It is also a good starting point to see how your apps are being used before committing to either the per app or per user license.
